The Quantum Quills Project is an educational initiative that aims to support middle and secondary school students from underserved communities enabling them to engage with significant scientific theories and technological innovations through the fascinating and immersive mediums of creative writing and science fiction.Â
The Project strives to not only familiarize students with an in-depth understanding of key concepts in science and technology, but also endeavours to refine their imaginative instincts and develop their creative writing skills. It encourages students to simultaneously engage with scientific research and storytelling.
Towards this end, the Project aims to disseminate an original and comprehensive handbook tracing the creative inspiration behind scientific inventions, in addition to conducting a series of informative and interactive workshops, promoting short-story writing in students, curating reading lists, and conducting an online fundraiser to materially support ongoing endeavours in this field. The Project hopes to germinate the latent potential of students from underserved communities by honing their creative and critical skills helping them bridge the gap between science and humanities.
